Mambo Elite Productions was founded in the Bronx, New York by the late David Melendez. He authorized Audrianna Correa to become a co-founder in 1994 to become a pioneer of the 0n2 New York Club Style of dance here in the Bay Area. Together David and Audrianna took on this quest both East and West Coast to help serve in educating and preserving the art of Salsa Music and Dance. David was well known among his neighbors as the Mayor of the Bronx and built his Dance Studio to over 300 strong and took his youth dance teams across the world to perform. He also became the producer of the New York Salsa Congress and was successful at launching the Japan and Several other international congresses along the way. His final adventure was to start a new Star Lite Dance School in Florida.

Audrianna was brave enough to begin making the change in converting all of her classes to the 0n2 style. Though there was much protest she was determined to make the on2 time step known. She and several other dancers such as Fred Flores, Frank Guillan, Carlos Baez, Juan Jimenez and Toni Barajas not to mention the many hungry students help make this transition possible. Mambo Elite was responsible for bringing several New York Instructors to the Bay Area to help along the way. David Melendez was one of them, Angel Figeroa & Maria Torres O'Conner, Addie Diaz Siverio soon became apart of the growing number of New York instructors visiting. Other Bay Area Teachers soon followed suit such as Ava Apple, John & Liz, Gabriel Romero and Salsa Gang adding Nelson Flores, Arpil Genovese, Stracy Diaz, Franky Martinez and Aisha and Last but not least the NY Mambo King Himself, Eddie Torres to the list of great instructors to the Bay Area. Each contributor brought their huge influence and expertise to the table. Mambo Elite has reached out to community supporters in both the social and professional areanas to keep you, the Salsa enthusiast fullfilled and happy to take part in this wonderful community of dancers and musicians abroad.
